We have refreshed the LiveCompare 2.3 release to resolve a number of important bugs. The new release is build 2.3.0.268. This build is recommended for all customers of LiveCompare now running version 2.3. The download links for LiveCompare 2.3 now point at this build. If you need a copy of the links, please email our technical support team.
Summary of Changes
In some cases the Analyze Where Used action did not identify includes used by a program, and as a consequence the Transport Impact Analysis results could be missing some objects from the recommended executables. The LiveCompare server now finds these links and the expected objects appear in the TIA results.
When using a port number other than the default to connect to a separate database server from the LiveCompare server, the following error occurs:
SqlServerBulkDataLoader::OpenDataSource/Open -- Unspecified error (0x80004005)
The port number information now gets used correctly in the server. In addition, the port number is displayed when you view the details of a workspace object.
While running the U.02 - ABAP Failures upgrade analysis workflow, an error occurs in the End Loop Collect action:
SqlServerBulkDataLoader::addAddField. string value length > column size for field: LINE
The workflow template has been updated to use the correct field widths.
While running an action that takes a long time, such as Get Transport Objects or Find Object Links, the action halts with an error indicating that RFC connection timed out. The LiveCompare server now detects this condition and retries the connection. The server will try to make the connection up to ten times, with a 1-second pause between retries.
The maximum length of an item in a string list has been raised from 1,024 to 4,096 characters. This was done to allow longer SQL statements in the Execute SQL action.
An error occured when using Quick Compare on TABC=ENT5523 on a Unicode SAP system. This database view is defined with a FLT key field, which caused a memory alignment problem when reading the data. LiveCompare now supports SAP tables and database views that have FLT key fields.
