With Windows 7 entering its 'release candidate' phase I downloaded a copy and installed in a virtual machine. Next I took the upcoming LiveCompare 2.2 release and tried to install it. Oh dear! Our environment checker didn't recognize the operating system. With that fixed, the installation and configuration worked just fine. The result:
