Apparently Sharepoint doesn't like really long URLs. This poses a problem for our integration where we export a BDL hierarchy to Sharepoint as a document workspace hiearchy. Each level in the BDL hierarchy becomes a directory in the Sharepoint doucment workspace hierarchy. BDL objects are usually given descriptive titles and with 5 levels (by default) to the BDL hierarchy, the titles can quickly result in a URL that's too long for Sharepoint.
With the help of one of our customers we're aiming to work around the problem by using the 'localid' of the BDL object as the directory base name and store the real object name in a custom attribute.
